Ähtäri Zoo Camping

The zoo’s camp site is located in Ähtäri in the vicinity of the zoo 90 km from Seinäjoki, 100 km from Jyväskylä and 150 km from Tampere. The campsite’s reception and cafeteria are open every day from 23 May to 17 August. The camping site is part of Top Camping Finland! The campsite has 15 well fitted cabins available year round 25 camping cabins 23.5. – 17.8.) two of which have their own sauna and 100 pitches for caravans and campers including 80 with an electric hook-up. The area has a beach a waterslide for children a beach sauna and a mini golf course. Ähtäri Zoo Camping and Cabins are within a walking distances from the zoo. The zoo has 65 different species, the majority of which are adapted to cold climate. Wristbands for the zoo can be purchased at the camping site, and they are valid until the end of your stay. Snowpanda House is the home of giant pandas and also houses a versatile Deli&Cafe. Unique in its architecture, Hotel Mesikämmen serves guests and diners. The camping site is part of Ähtäri Tourist Information which offers a range of services from the Mesikämmen spa with treatments a golf course and cross-country skiing tracks.
